Universal motor controllers
ABB universal motor controllers combine motor protection, control, fieldbus integration and diagnostics. Reduced wiring, replaceable components and commissioning functions help simplify installation and maintenance. The range supports up to 1000 V AC, 45–65 Hz and motor currents from 0.24 to 63 A without additional current transformers, as specified for the selected device. Available trip classes include 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 in accordance with EN/IEC 60947-4-1.
Electronic compact starters
ABB HF compact electronic starters combine semiconductor switching with mechanical relay technology. Depending on the configuration, they integrate direct-on-line and reversing starting, overload protection and emergency stop functions in a 22.5 mm wide housing.
Integrated functions reduce space, wiring and installation effort. Semiconductor bypass operation helps reduce losses and contact wear. The range supports motor applications up to 3 kW at 400 V AC and resistive loads up to 9 A, with DIN rail mounting and control from a 24 V DC PLC output. Appropriately certified configurations are available for ATEX, SIL3 and PL e requirements.
